Youth Council Advisory Committee

That the Committee Agenda dated September 10, 2025 be adopted as printed.

That the minutes of the May 14, 2025 meeting be adopted as printed.

That the Youth Council Advisory Committee recommends that Council establish five (5) annual $1000 application-based scholarships for post-secondary students; and, That the scholarship fund be divided into five distinct categories to reflect diverse areas of interest: 1. Civic Leadership 2. Arts & Culture 3. Environmental Stewardship 4. STEM & Innovation 5. Public Health & Social Development; and, That eligibility criteria include that applicants:  are residents of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury;  are enrolled full-time in a post-secondary institution  submit an application that demonstrates their views on the importance of public service within BWG; and, That applicants be given the option to submit their application in one of several formats to accommodate different strengths and creative expressions, including:  A written essay (500–1000 words)  A short video presentation (3–5 minutes)  A visual artwork or multimedia project accompanied by a brief written explanation; and, That the Youth Council Advisory Committee participate in the scholarship selection process to review applications and determine recipients based on merit, creativity, and alignment with the values of public service, followed by endorsement from Council.

That the Youth Council Advisory Committee has reviewed all eligible submissions of the YCAC Logo Contest and extends its appreciation to all participants for their creativity and engagement; and That the Committee recommends to Council the endorsement of Submission 4 as the official logo of the Youth Council Advisory Committee.

That the meeting is hereby adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
