That the residents of our community represent a rich diversity of faiths, traditions, heritages, cultures, and beliefs. Recognizing and celebrating holy days and holidays that are meaningful to our community members helps foster a culture of belonging, respect, and engagement; and That the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee recommend that Council direct staff to issue annual proclamations acknowledging these days, based on observances recognized by the Simcoe County District School Board, through the Town’s official social media channels to promote inclusion, engagement, and a sense of belonging in the community.
